About Dehydrated Beetroot Powder
Dehydrated Beetroot Powder (chukandar powder) is beetroot dried at low temperature and milled to a fine, vivid magenta powder. It contains no preservatives or additives and is FSSAI certified, making it a natural colourant and nutrition base for food, beverage and cosmetic products.
Uses of beetroot powder
- Natural colour for bakery, pasta, noodles and sweets
- Health drinks, smoothies and juice premixes
- Soups, dips and sauces
- Face packs and cosmetic formulations
Processing
Beetroot is cut on SS304 food-grade equipment and dehydrated at 50–55°C in heat-pump and hot-air tray dehydrators, then milled. There is zero maltodextrin and zero anti-caking agent, so the powder may form soft lumps over time — a natural sign of an additive-free product, not a quality issue.
Shelf life is 2 years. Packed in pouches of 1, 5 and 10 Kg; bulk reference price is ₹200/Kg with a 10 Kg MOQ. Made in India.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is your beetroot powder pure?
Yes — it is only beetroot, with no preservatives, maltodextrin or anti-caking agents.
Why does the powder form lumps?
Beetroot powder absorbs moisture from air because no anti-caking agent is added. Lumps break easily and do not affect quality. Keep the pack sealed.
Is it FSSAI certified?
Yes.
